Jailbreaking the phone should remain legal, Web freedom advocates say

(CNN) -fresh from a victory that saw a pair of online piracy Bill is saved, the Web-freedom advocates are now struggling to maintain their right to jailbreak their iPhone.

“Smartphones, ts, and video game console is a computer that is strong with a lot of untapped potential,” the group said on its website. “Yet many of these devices are set to run only software that has been approved by the manufacturer.

“Jailbreaking” the phone gives users the ability to download the application from unauthorized sources. It is very popular on the iPhone because of Apple’s famous covered, which only allows the application to buy from shops himself for use on the phone.
